Mimosa is blooming

Happy to see several bunches of these pink flowers on the tree in the front yard.    They do like the heat which is good since it is very hot.   There was a rain shower here yesterday but just enough rain to make dust spots on the car window and not anything that helped.     Up the road about a mile, there was a downpour as one of my friends lives a short ways as the bird flies and she got a good soaking.     We are in a moderate drought state right now with some rain predicted maybe for Saturday and a few days next week.      We are thinking to take off to Tate's house in the North Carolina mountains just to get away from the heat for a few days.   The weather people are also saying it will cool off to the 70s by the weekend.      I hate summer in the south!

I hope this video works and you can see what the hike up to the top of Mt. Le Conte looked like.     I think I could do this hike again but it would have to be an earlier start and maybe in the fall when the leaves change.
