Cairn Lodge

A bright sunny day

We travelled home from Kendal after a lovely holiday visiting family and friends. We stopped at the Cairn Lodge Service stop on the M74 which has been voted the third best in the Uk. It certainly deserves its reputation - the food was excellent and the layout spacious. In the grounds there is this Archway entrance to the old Lodge.

The total miles we covered was just over 1030, but everything went very smoothly and, with the aid of Google Maps, we found all the different places we visited. It was so nice, especially since it was over 16 months since we had seen our family.

Looking forward to watching Manchester United playing tonight in the Europe League Final.
