Super...
…………..……..Blood Moon
A Super Blood Moon is a rare combination of three factors - a full moon, a super moon and a total lunar eclipse.
The last time this happened in New Zealand was forty years ago.
A super moon is when the moon passes through its closest point to earth and therefore appears much larger and brighter than usual.
The extra photo is the moon rising in the sky, soon after sunset, with the rusting hulk of the Janie Seddon resting on the mudflats of the estuary, Motueka, NZ.
Thank you for the visits, stars and hearts for my previous blip featuring autumn colour glowing brightly in the late afternoon light. The was no blip uploaded yesterday!
I am still in catchup mode visiting journals and thanking those kind enough to leave hearts for my recent blips while I was away from home.
