Sun Dogs ... Parhelia

I noticed the Sun Dog (looks like a rainbow) and the flying birds when I was driving in Eyjafjarðarsveit.

In Icelandic we call the Sun Dogs - Gíll and Úlfur. The one that appear in front of the sun is Gíll and Úlfur is the one that follows. This time I only noticed Úlfur but we have a saying here in Iceland that if Gíll is the only Sun Dog you see then it will be bad weather.

"Ekki er Gíll fyrir góðu nema Úlfur á eftir renni"
"Gíll is not so good unless Úlfur follows"
