Before and ...

Jamie's doing well in his recovery from the op.  Remobilising helps pain levels but it's harder if you can't walk, so a return home may be a few days away.   The hospital staff are lovely :-)

The morning saw me back in the dentist's chair having a tooth rebuilt.   The drilling found less decay than expected so there's hope that the tooth is saved.   Home for a video call with a neurospychiatrist who's working to support Ruth and then an afternoon in Aber with Jamie.

By the time we'd walked Meg at sunset time, I was aware that my batteries were empty but as I write this after a restorative night's sleep, I'm off to the hospital again after a short turn at work.

Aetheopappus caucasicus, a steppe plant that seems to adapt well to UK gardens given very sharp drainage.   The buds are very striking and the flowers quite showy.
