Kindness

Amazon came calling this evening with a parcel - proof of ID required - a lovely gift of sticker books for the boys and gin for me. Yum. Happiness guaranteed all round (so long as the gin is in moderation). Very grateful for the kindness of others. It has been the most awful 10 days, but also the most wonderful with humanity at its best. 

Message from the first responder this evening to see how the husband is, he works where I used to work, so there is a connection, and I think after something so big, there will always be a connection (and a bottle of whiskey for the husband to take him). 

Medieval day at school today, mummy fail for not making a shield, but aside from that a great success. 

Today I'm grateful for:
Parcels from friends who really don't have to, but are wonderful to receive
A lovely call with a soon to be ex colleague, she works in Dubai so we have never met, but have worked really well together. 
Talk of 'home time' for the husband!
