Down by the riverside

The rain held off today enough for a quick trip to the duck pond with Neil during his lunch break. Some of the ducks were hungry but most of them seemed cold and sleepy. I can't say I blame them - we could do with some decent sunshine.

These flowers were either side of a little pathway down to the pond. I've always thought they were meadowsweet, but looking at pictures online I think that must be wrong. Whatever they are, I rather like them.
