Shingles!!!

That is my mono Monday response! Shingles! Ok, obviously, I thought the picture of my shingles was a bit dull for a blip but I did think of it and I did run out, in the drizzle, and take a picture of my roof. I left it in color because the roof is grey and the sky is grey so only the few green leaves would have revealed it as not being a B&W photo. 

The roofer we liked called me today and told me they found middle-grey cool shingles on the East Coast (!!) in sufficient quantity to do my roof. My roof is small, it requires 11 lots, and there are 13 available. The product has been discontinued. 

I'm going to fill out a form tonight for the home owner's association. 

I am grateful that I don't hate the cicadas. There are so many people completely repulsed/creeped out/frightened. Today I saw one with incredible, beautiful gold wings - probably a result of the rain. No, I do not want cicada wing jewelry, but thank you for the thought.
