Wood Sorrel on a wet day

I liked the look of this familiar woodland plant today and have only just learnt what it's called, so I could use it for my blip. I had heard that name before but hadn't matched the name to an actual plant in my consciousness!

Full on rain here all morning, only easing up around lunchtime. The Moniack Burn was very noisy indeed as I walked by it today. It was quite exciting hearing and watching it from the bankside. I've included an extra of it, where I hope it gives a sense of the fast movement. My poor husband has been suffering from a bit of Labyrinthitis lately and when I showed him my photos of the burn today he had to stop looking, because the effect of the rushing water in the photo made him feel queasy!
