This is where I worked for 20 years
It’s inner city Bristol, St Paul’s. Built in the 1770s, it’s a grade 1 listed building. Both the buildings you see are occupied by the same organisation, providing housing and support services for people with mental health needs. My desk was by the window you see furthest left on the middle floor. It was a beautiful room, with an elegant marble fireplace, and two chandeliers! On the left- out of sight - is Bristol Drugs Project. And there are several other housing associations and homelessness projects in the vicinity, as well as Women’s Aid, and a project that helped women sex workers. The street is still cobbled - so the square was often used as a film or TV location. It was interesting to see how they covered up the yellow lines, and occasionally sprayed artificial snow everywhere.
I was down there today as I met a friend who still works there, for lunch.
The extra is of a clematis I passed on my way down.
