Wasted effort...

One of a pair of very soggy coal tits which landed in the tree outside my bedroom window during a brief sunny interlude this afternoon. They spent bout ten minutes vigorously shaking themselves dry and tidying up their plumage. Within another twenty minutes it was of course hosing down with rain again!
