Laurel wreathes

"Charlie needs to wear a laurel wreath tomorrow,", says Kate, just as she's about to walk out of the front door, "Can you make one for him please? Bye!".

Hmmm.

I haven't got a clue when it comes to arty things. Even arty things that are aimed at nine year old kids.

So, I found a leaves template on the web, which wasn't nearly efficient enough in terms of leaves per page. They managed six (which isn't even trying), and I got fourteen out per sheet.

Cutting out twenty-eight leaves takes ages.

Then the hard bit, stapling the leaves onto the rim of a polystyrene plate... which way are the leaves supposed to point? One row of leaves or two? I have no idea (still). Anyway, much stapling later, I stuck it on my head and went to show Charlie (who is showered, with teeth brushed and in bed by this time).

When he'd finished laughing, he informs me that they don't look like this.
But, he'll wear it anyway as I'd made it for him.

I bet everyone else has managed to make a brilliant one.
Stupid art.
