Pond

Today we had a small birthday party forour son with two of his friends.  We were excited to be able to have one for him as his first birthday fell during the full lockdown last year so we couldn't see anyone.  He loves frogs so we had a froggy theme and my wife put together this pond for them to play with.  It had ducks, frogs, rocks, lilly pads, a small solar powered fountain in the centre and tapioca pearls to look like frog spawn.  The children really enjoyed playing with it.  It's nice to see him playing with other kids which he hasn't really been able to do much because of the covid lockdowns.

Thankfully, our infection rate had come down enough to move into level 2 the night before the party, which meant that we could have people inside. The weather was a mixture of heavy showers and sun, so it was a relief to be able to go in and out of the house as we dodged the rain.
