Father-daughter
Today was quite typically Monday...well, sort of.
You see, it started with waking up to a good covering of snow (which seemed to also catch the council out).
And the latter part of the afternoon and early evening was father-daughter time.
But the bit in between? Meh. Tables. What are tables doing in my qualitative dissertation, I ask. Did not sign up to that one.
But there's the thing...I have to remind myself that was just one part of the day. I do not like my dissertation lens, makes things seem less shiny and more murky.
Father-daughter time, as it happens, was lovely. Given how unsuccessfully I was managing to work it was nice to be taken away from the books :) A wee wander around Dobbies, wonderfully tasty dinner at the Cuddie Brae (must find out how they cook their salmon! And how is salad so filling?) and I was dropped back at the flat to face my student responsibilities once more...equipped with another bag of mum-packed and dad-added-to goodies to keep me going.
So, so thankful for such wonderful parents :) their love, support and goodie provision has made all the difference over the past few months.
(I forgot to mention...we ate dinner by an open fire... Topped it off!)
