Despite not having trained or played for 3 weeks, Alex was straight into the matchday squad. 0900 meet, so I dropped him and cycled back for Tom who deigned to join us in the sunshine.
(I'd spotted the trolley on the way up and figured I'd stop and get shot on the way back; however when I came back up with Tom, this slightly drunken guy appeared round the corner at the same time I as I approached the trolley. He looked at me, looked at the trolley and bemoaned the fact that there wasn't a pound in it; only a token. Undeterred he then wheeled the trolley out into the road, bade Tom and I good morning and proceeded to wheel himself off home...! I couldn't watch after the photo; the camber of the road kept taking him into the kerb; given his state it was only a matter of time before he and the trolley parted company...!)
They lost 6-0; 2 evenly matched teams initially, but all confidence ebbed once 2-0 down.
We came home as the rain started....
After lunch, I abandoned them with the Xbox babysitting, and met Her for a brief brunch at Grams before resuming domestic duties.
Last day Premier League football occupied the afternoon / evening, before I got wet when I realised I'd not got enough milk for breakfast.....
