Reminiscing

Tomorrow I visit Richard and Jackie and rather than buy cakes I know Jackie likes bread pudding so I made one. I still have my Mum’s recipe, hand written on a sheet of letter paper, which I use. All done and 2/3’s for R&J and the remainder for me.
I can close my eyes as I taste it and I am taken back to the kitchen of Thames Street in Weybridge - Happy Days.
In the evening I went for a beer or three with a friend when I returned and after dinner I had Spotted Dick with thick custard, one of my Dads favourites.

Joshua is at the Wyke Regis Training Area, up near Weymouth, that means he is around three hours away instead of twelve so I might see if he is up for a coffee over the weekend.
