Striped Shield Beetles

Striped Shield Beetle (Graphosoma lineatum) at Hof ter Saksen, Beveren, Belgium.

A walk between the showers to the local park and a wander among the long grasses and flowers revealed these beetles which are always to be found on some white umbellifers: Queen Anne's lace or Wild Carrot perhaps.

Later we had a beer on the terrace of the Orangerie Cafe. Exciting.
