Looking forward
To a new made day
No more looking back
I have to say
Onwards and upwards
Climb every hill
No need for medication
Throw away the pill
Open your mouth
Breath in the air
Walk into the weather
No matter foul or fair
Step forward lightly
Step out with grace
Step out on your own
Step at your own pace
Answer now to no-one
You are in control
No matter their virtues
They attempt to extol
Move at your rhythm
Stay away from the crowd
Believe in yourself
You really are allowed
For within you lies
The person you should be
It shouldn't take a mirror
Just to make you see
That within you as without
Nature's beauty does reside
And whether it shows or not
Unly you can decide
Look to your shadow
Cast by the rising sun
Look to a blank sheet
Ready to be written upon
Take the gold of dawn
That's banished the darkened night
And write down these words
"I am Me and I have that Right"!
