Graduation Sunday 2021
Graduation Sunday, the Sunday we have chosen to recognize our high school graduates is always a bittersweet time for those of us who have been here long enough to watch many of these kids grow up in this church. There is always a cute slide show which I wish I could show you and then we pray over them as a church body, because we know that we are sending them out of the familiar into the unfamiliar and we pray that they will stand strong in their faith in a world that would tend to draw them away from it. The congregation joined hearts and voices in a time of worship and praise, followed by the choir in a moving rendition of "Glorious Day". After that, Bro. David spoke to us for a few minutes about the importance of prayer. He, then, turned the pulpit over to his brother-in-law, Mike, who spoke to us from Psalms 27:4 about the need to be devoted to prayer, living a life where prayer is not a last resort, but our first choice, our lifestyle that will draw others into a personal relationship with the God who loved them enough to send Jesus. We ended the service with an extended response time of praying with an for each other. There were showers of blessing inside FBC Pflugerville today, as well as outside!
