Exploring rust
A busy morning in the garden. I finally planted the sunflower, nasturtium and marigold seeds that was in the Mother's Day package from Renata. We had ordered a planter a couple of weeks ago and expected it to arrive this past week, but when we checked on Friday, we were told that it was backordered until 2022! Must have been a popular one. We don't have any flower beds so I just planted the annuals in some hanging baskets and a pot and will try to find something suitable for the perennials.
G and I went for a walk down Xwaaqw'um after lunch. We went up to the old quarry for another look at what G thinks is part of the weigh scale that was used there. He had a walk on it. I've blipped just the rust before but I liked this with his boots and the matching orange colour on them.
Rain on the way, and that's good news.
Extra: a rock in the field that reminds me of a seal's face!
Huge congratulations to Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat from Scotland on winning the gold medal at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Aberdeen! Always fantastic to win at home. They beat Kerri Einarson and Brad Gushue from Canada in the semi-final and Norway in the final. The Canadians lost to Sweden in the bronze medal game. Both Scotland and Canada qualified for the Olympics, so maybe they'll meet in the gold medal game then!
Thought this might work for Derelict Sunday. Thanks to Marlieske for hosting!
