Allotment

I went to the allotment to plant a few bits out and see what is growing.
 
A few things had blown away and I had to go for a walk to find them and one plastic cloche had broken but otherwise all was okay after the storm.  I put a few bits in and did put a cloche over them, mainly to protect them from the wind and rain.  I did also put a few more seeds as I have a few spaces to fill.
 
My dahlias are not doing so well with many not showing at all.  I suspect the winter was a bit too hard and wet for them to have been left in the ground and they are gone.  My fruit trees also do not seem to have much on.  I might have to reconsider having them but will think about it later in the year.
 
Back home, I finished the house work, removed the dead rat Claude had delivered and took down my bird feeders as we saw a rat in the garden.  Lots of people have been seeing them so I think Claude needs to step up his game, but not bring them into the kitchen would be good (at least it was dead).
