Lilac Time

My neighbour usually has the best view of the white lilac but I noticed some blooms on our side so hurried to catch a blip before they fade. It is my tree, after all.

And there seems to be good news about the little blackbird that was sitting shivering in the rain on Friday. Miss Flum suspects it was the last to leave the nest and reports having seen ?it at the top of the tree, being fed by the parents and the nest now very quiet. So it would appear that the brood, which we had watched being fed before we went out, fledged and flew the nest before we returned a couple of hours later, the little one managing only to reach the doorstep. 

Miss Flum was hors de combat vaccine yesterday, Saturday, and did not venture out to check for it but there is no bird beneath the jasmine today. Relief all round, thank you all for your concern and advice.
