New Perspectives
It was a very good idea to try out something different for Whitsunday. Thanks to Our dear friend Gerlinde, we improvised a simple way of sharing our common wish to enjoy some form of new-normal.
To be sure we started with a short trip to the Testcentre in order to return with two Negatives. Now we were a bit free to prepare a fresh asperagus lunch with toasted paninis and alcoholfree spumante. An espresso to finish. It tasted delicious.
The sun broke through. So we went for a walk. Following her preferred track up into the Brandenberg Forest. Meeting various people also enjoying their free breathing space. Some of them in search of their childhood magical places, a soft footpath , absolute silence – except the sighing of a breeze – So we all met on top of the HImmelsleiter in a deserted quarrie. And a great family joined us in this natural open-air theatre. The silence was gone but it clearly turned into a new playing and discovery ground for children.
On our long way back, clouds came moving in. Perhaps we would get showered. But in the end we got back without feeling a drop. Another sunny interval invited for a tea on Gerlindes balcony. From there you have a different perspective on the Churchtower and surroundings.
Well, after returning to the Solling I felt rather tired. But deeply thankfull to the openhearted way in which our friendship made possible this new Pentecost experience still under Covid-regulations.
