Hiding in the grass
We got home from the caravan at about 6pm Saturday evening. It had been a good break and I’d had lots of walks and a bit of exploring of the campsite on my own :-)
Darren had a bit of a lazy Sunday morning and we didn’t go out for our walk until about half 11. We went in car as Darren had an idea of where he wanted to go but after less than a mile we came across a cycling event. There were quite a few people at the side of road and stewards ready to stop the traffic when the cyclists came along. Darren decided it was worth having a nosey at what was going on, so we parked up and went to investigate. I’m not sure Darren knows what the race was, but we think it was a Yorkshire race rather than a national one. Anyway we waited at the finish line and we did see the race finish, it wasn’t interesting to me at all, but Darren thought it was worth stopping for. We left the finish left and walked down the lane to a public footpath that we’ve been down before. The grass in the field was quite long and as you can see in photo I had to get on to my back legs to be able to see over the top of it. The rest of the walk was good too and even the sun came out.
