Hossing (Day 2208)

The morning was taken up with a trip to the horses. The stuff breeze made it really cold and I was glad to get on George and get moving. It was a really good ride and I coped well with a couple of strops from George. As we got closer to home, I seemed to find and press George's idiot button. He really didn't want to stand still when we stopped to talk to some friends of my beautiful wife. Surprisingly it was really easy to get him down onto the beach, and we enjoyed a few canters along the beach. He totally refused to go into the sea today, though I did manage to get him through some pools of water on the beach. He was a bit less feisty by the time we got back to the field.
Home for lunch, then a wander with Sigyn at Wasdale. We managed to keep her out of the muck today and got her home clean which makes a change.
Later, as HV zoomed off to a 24 hour shift, I finally got around to finishing a memorial stone for a dog (extra).
The next thing on the carving bench will be the stone for Talisker.
