Poppy Time is Summer Time?

On a coach trip this week I was lucky to see a roadside verge covered by these beautiful flowers, a little further on came a council worker with a strimmer chopping them all down!

Such a shame.

Greening Britain just doesn't seem to reach the ears of those who have the power to put it into effect. :-((
