Firebugs

There are lots (!) of firebugs in all ages in our garden.
When Tim tried to blip the aggregations of the youngsters, a mating pair crossed his view.  Firebugs are seen in tandem formation when mating which can take from 12 hours up to 7 days. The long period of copulating is probably used by the males as a form of ejaculate-guarding under high competition with other male (*Wikipedia)
Tim thought that there are actually already enough baby fire bugs ;-)
