Hello!

I went on a walkabout with my macro lens today to get better acquainted with the cicada's Brood X.  Fascinating, and I can't guarantee you will not see more of them while they last :)

I have a couple of extras in blip (the white one is the immature adult as it emerges from its skin; the other is the shell it leaves behind... pretty much intact).  If you'd like to see more (along with some explanations), here's a link to my occasional blog
