It’s been a funny old day. Moving house in lockdown is tricky but I am completely bowled over by the generosity of folks here. I got chatting to a chap who, in earlier times, worked in northern Scotland. He is a forester and his previous patch was a mere 28,000 acres. A couple of hours after meeting he knocked on the door with 2 lengths of 100 year old sapele he had been saving in the back of his workshop. He came to offer help in taking a tree down in our garden. So I’m really, really grateful for people’s generosity and now thinking hard about what to make. I’ll get going on the lathe in the next few days.
Today’s picture taken on our walk into the market for supplies.
