Relief

I was getting concerned that the nest in the woodshed had been abandoned. A magpie had been agitating the adult blackbirds with threatening behaviour. I watched with interest as the male and female blackbirds patrolled the nest and tried to see the magpie off into a nearby tree. It all looked very tense.

Today, Eubers was in the shed collecting some wood. He noticed the nest was unattended so took a photograph from a distance to check out what was going on. Very relieved to find out that there are still eggs in the nest and the blackbirds are still tending it.
