Dingy Skipper
While Janet was working in the garden I wandered down to the nature reserve. I bumped into a young man working for the local BBC wildlife unit while doing his wildlife photography masters, and had a nice chat. The meadow was full of bees and beeflies and other pollinators, but the high winds and rain had kept most of the bug life absent or too well hidden. I did like this dingy skipper erynnis tages - I'm not sure I've really seen one before and it took a while to identify, so please do tell me if I'm wrong. Of course it rained hugely on my way back, no doubt washing out some more of the sea salt in the camera...
