At the Kiln

As part of this year's Art Walk events there is an installation by residency artist Jenny Pope inside the one currently restored kiln, just off Portobello promenade. A rare chance to get inside one of the kilns as well as seeing Jenny's interesting site specific work over this weekend and next.
Earlier today, on my way to the shops, met someone who said he had just bought a magazine with what he assumed was an article of mine in it. It was indeed - the latest edition of Nutmeg, fresh from the Portobello bookshop. We had a good chat about the magazine and football-related things. St Johnstone won a cup double, beating Hibs 1-0 in the Scottish Cup Final. Two Scottish Cup Finals, two wins - don't St Johnstone understand it's supposed to be much more difficult than that? Just ask the two teams they have beaten in the final - Hibs (15 appearances, 3 wins) and Dundee United (10 appearances, 2 wins).
