The Gilded Cage

I was thrilled to find that my Blip from Monday was awarded a podium place by Laurie54 and many thanks to Laurie for hosting the Mono Monday challenge.

This morning while in Walthamstow I spotted this similarly daredevil pigeon (like Ron on Mono Monday) getting itself into a cage and then doing a Houdini escaping act when I approached.

And then I went into an actual restaurant for lunch. What a treat, eating in the BelSit whereas for the last six months we have been surviving on takeaways from the pizzeria. I had cod which was delicious and got a bit carried away, drinking two beers. The excitement must have got to me and my self discipline was left at the door as I escaped the confinement of not eating out for such a long time.
