Why I bought waterproof running shoes

The rain that started about 6.30pm yesterday continued until early afternoon but then the sun made an appearance although the cold, northerly wind was stronger than ever. I'd only planned a short run and decided to see what the trails were like - running water in many places - and wear the Goretex-lined shoes. My feet were dry but legs a bit muddy.
The extra is of the remains of the clouds.
In the morning I got out the sewing machine and finished turning the old inner tent into bags for separating items when packing.
After lunch it was a trip to Hobbycraft and this evening making some "medals" (keyrings on ribbon) for our special group run tomorrow.
