then the weather changed
After the summer like day on Wednesday, it was distinctly wet today. The morning started OK but the clouds always suggested rain would come along. We had our usual breakfast walk on the beach and then wandered around the village alleys admiring the cottages which are almost all now holiday homes, its just not practical these days to live in a village like this with no roads and a steep hill back to civilisation.
The end thatched house on the main blip was once the coastguards house in the days the village was a herring fishing community. The extras are snaps I took as we explored the nooks and crannies of the village.
The afternoon was a stroll in Robin's Hood Bay, the rain started as we arrived at the bottom of the hill, what a good job we are allowed into cafes again !
The evening meal at an unassuming pub in Egton Bridge (researched on TripAdvisor) was of the best restaurant standard. A good way to spend our last evening with P & G.
