Birthday Flowers

I was given lots of flowers for my birthday last Saturday and the lilies are just beginning to open so her’s my close-up diptych for the day.  Taken with my 7Artisan lens with a 10mm extension tube.  

Haircut in the morning and a rural journey home rather than back through Barnsley.  I seem to be having a bit of down time re photography and Blipfoto at the moment.

It’s been so dark and miserable that it doesn’t help my mood.  I did manage to pot on the pepper plants that Andrew gave me, but I don’t hold out much hope that they will do anything this year.  While April was brilliant, May is continuing as a cold, wet miserable month.
