Ugly Ducklings?

We had a walk to Killingworth Lake this morning to check on the Grebe chicks - and we're pleased to say that they're doing OK. However these cute cygnets stole the place on my blip today.

There's some shots of the Grebes on my Google album here; Mum tossed the chicks off her back from time to time as you'll see. For local blippers who know the Lake (which is actually divided into two parts) the chicks we'd been looking at are on the small lake, but we found another family on the big lake with slightly older chicks - the chick and Mum having a "kiss" are in that family.
