Robbiez

My Dear Princess, Loulou and Fellows,

Tucked away on the 7th floor of Fujitsu Tower in the heart of the CBD is Robbiez which I discovered about 2 years ago when I was working with Lemon.

"It has THE BEST eggs benedict," I told her.

"I'm in," she said. And from then on, whenever we had meetings with Fujitsu we would ensure to schedule them in Fujitsu Tower. Around lunchtime.

So it was only right and proper that I should meet with Lemon there today. I'm sure you have missed her. I missed her too and we both gave each other huge hugs.

So here's what's going on in her life right now:

- Lemon's son and daughter in law have had their THIRD child. Another little girl.

- Their new family can't stay in their own house as it is being renovated.

- So they're all at Lemon's.

Lemon, of course, loves it. She has the two older babies (you may remember she refers to them as "The Boy" and "The Monster") sleeping with her. Her poor partner, Vic, has been kicked out to sleep on the couch.

On one occasion he tried to sneak back to his bed and The Boy made a great show of taking his pillow and his blanket and - OOOF! - throwing them back onto the couch.

"How long are they staying?" Vic asked.

"Only two or three more weeks," replied Daughter in Law.

Vic is talking about going on holiday down south.

But the stay could end up being longer. Daughter in Law is LOVING having dinner made for her every night. Vic complains that he doesn't want to make dinner all the time but, "he can't stop himself," said Lemon.

He's a perfectionist. And apparently Daughter in Law can't even peel a potato right.

Lemon's mum is still living out the back in a custom-built granny flat. She loves having Daughter in Law and The Baby but everyone else gets the pointed finger to send them back to the house.

Meanwhile, Lemon is less impressed by the middle child. The little girl can now name all family members... nearly.

"She goes around the room saying, 'Gwandad', 'Auntie Sis', 'Mummy', 'Daddy' and... and... 'Her'," Lemon repeated with disgust.

So it was fun catching up. And at the end of it, I set up a monthly meeting with Lemon at Robbiez. It has been too long and I missed her a lot.
