They are sailing ...

Today dawned bright and sunny. I love these northern dawns and their accompanying perpetual summer dusks. There is only a very short window of actual astronomical night here at this time of year. It happens for about 20 minutes either side of 0100.

Driving into town this morning the traffic was back to pre pandemic levels. It is very easy to forget those empty streets and deafening spring birdsong that kept us all going through the first Covid lockdown last year.

There was a busyness of different complexion as the media circled and the SNP Cabinet wannabees strutted their stuff in Charlotte Square.

Later we walked on the surf and had a close encounter with these two yachts on a goodwill visit from Fisherrow!
