Tongland Power Station
We love the design of this hydro-electric power station at Kirkcudburgh. It was built in the early 1930s and draws warer from the Rivers Dee, Ken and Doon to make electricity.
This morning we went to the RSPB Ken-Dee Marshes Nature Reserve. The hides were closed but we still had a good walk around. There were not many birds showing (although we could hear lots of birdsong) but we did spot a willow tit and a willow warbler. We had to keep sheltering from the showers of rain and hail but there was also lots of sunshine.
