an enquiring look

Today's animal encounters included a rescue dog who definitely wanted me to keep my distance, a very small and very noisy dachshund, a tiny dog who climbed onto my shoulder when I was kneeling down reading the meter and this very friendly goat. Is he asking what's going on, or just 'Have you got any food?'

It was sunny, but there is still a nip in the air.
The fish man didn't turn up - so it was omelette for tea.
