Special Delivery to the Guest House
... Well, not really, but almost! As I was photographing our work on Sweet Haven's guest house, this lobster boat came chugging into the cove to make a crustaceous deposit at the dock across from us. I love the way the sun sparkles on the water look like stars.
Anyway, this is the guest house at Sweet Haven. When we bought the place, there was just a sleeper sofa in here, and we decided to add a proper bed for more comfortable nights sleep. We moved the sleeper sofa to the side of the space to make a cozy sitting area, and also added a chest of drawers. You can see a mini kitchen area over next to the sofa, which we equipped with a coffee maker and a toaster so guests don't have to stumble over to the main house kitchen for that first cup of java in the mornings. There's also a mini fridge there for juice, etc. Just through the doorway to the right of the bed is a little bathroom. I took these photographs from the deck, through the sliding glass doors that look out onto the harbour. More progress!
