Cygnet Drama

On getting to the lake for a twenty minute fix of fluffy cygnets I was met with a few people you said there had been real drama with them overnight. Everyone wanted to tell the tale ..... all at once! 

On one side of the lake there is a decorative waterfall dropping down to the water course. One of the cygnets had dropped over it but luckily was rescued and rushed to the Vale Wildlife Rescue Centre. All was well and it was put back with the others. There are still seven thankfully and lovely to see in their family group all the while being protected by George and Zelda their doting parents.

On getting home after the gym I then took the dogs out just to escape the mayhem of vans and lorries, cement mixer, dumper truck and other machines for the tranquility of another lake. The amount of rain we've had meant I couldn't even get near the edge of the water to spy on damselflies but the dogs had a great time.
