Back At Huish Park!

With the easing of restrictions yesterday, fans have been allowed back into football grounds so Chris and I were able to attend Yeovil's game at home to Maidenhead tonight, the first competitive game we've been to in 15 months. It was extremely well organised with separate entrances to different parts of the ground seats and standing spaces socially distanced and face coverings rigorously enforced.

The game itself was an entertaining 0 0 draw
Yeovil played very well, producing some enterprising football to create the better chances and deserved to win. We might well have done if we hadn't had a player mysteriously sent off for a second bookable offence which no-one seemed to spot except the referee. After that we defended very well and still nearly got the winner with a shot that hit the cross bar. It was good to be back.

The morning golf round was notable for the fact that I had no trouble at all taking the club back for the first time in ages, which made for a refreshingly relaxed game.
