Mother Follows Daughter
We had a very joyful baptism in our church lastnight of our oldest ever candidate - 80 this year - Sheila is the most alive great-grandmother you could hope for. She said to me before the service she was so happy she was afraid she'd pop.
Here, her daughter is telling her how, many years before, she had had a picture of Jesus calling her Mum, who turned away, but that she knew he would keep on calling her. And he did, because over 20 years after her daughter's baptism, Sheila followed her and her son's example and made a public declaration of her intention to make Jesus the Master of her life. In the water, waiting, are the two church leaders who baptised her.
What a fantastic example of not being set in your ways. Mishkid's take on same occasion.
