My patch

Time for the second of my annual birdwatch jaunts. I consulted the forecast last night and all looked good for first thing but when I staggered up at 5.30am it was lashing. I re-consulted the forecast, assured all would be grand by 7ish. I proceeded, astonishing the cat, and was amazed that the sun was already up. There were even rainbows in the Kitchen and quite a lot of weather route but by the time I arrived at my rugged patch, all was calm! The colours were stunning and the birds out in force. The first thing I heard was a cuckoo, the first of the year. And a new bird on the patch - a red poll, and possibly reed buntings correctly identified for the first time. I was followed down the road by a frisky team of russet coloured cattle, fortunately on the other side of the fence, spotted three farm cats, managed to sneak past the grumpy, old farm dog and although I didn't meet the farmer, I heard him in his milking parlour. Actually a very enjoyable and calming hour and a half. On my way home I dropped in to Lidl for a croissant for I was ravenous!

Then it was haircut day! That was a 3 hour job! Not as much off as I Intended and is that a hint of a blue rinse!! Tomorrow the one on the right will be looking like the one on the left but shorter!

Thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday's Tiny Tuesday Challenge - results will be up tomorrow as I'm wrecked now!
