Snow in the Isle of Wight

Today we had planned a 12 mile walk. This morning we woke up to a world covered in snow and it still hasn't stopped.

Ann said, 'Molly, it would be total madness to try and walk 12 miles today. We'll have to abandon our big walk for health & safety reasons. I'll take you on lots of little walks instead'.

My first walk of the day was down on the beach at Sandown. What more could a collie want? Sand AND snow to roll about in.

Then we came back to our apartment to have breakfast and watch 'Jeremy Kyle' before catching the bus to Ventnor because we need to make use of our weekly Island bus pass. Walked along the seafront and I had another play in the snow but it was absolutely freezing and also very windy. So we popped into 'The Met' which was very warm and cosy and Ann had a lovely bowl of broccoli & stilton soup and we sat and watched the waves crashing in for a while.

Back in our apartment now having a bit of a warm up but I'm going out for another walk soon.

Having a lovely relaxing day. The only problem is....................... we now won't complete our mission to walk around the whole of the Isle of Wight.

Oh well, ho hum; we'd rather be alive (and not complete our mission) than be blown off a cliff in freezing conditions!!!!!
