Twig and bokeh
Day started ORSOME! Yesterday evening I had emailed Kancho a video demonstrating the stages I’ve gone through with the stance kokutsu dachi, and moving in that stance - from when I returned to karate (high, stiff, clunky, awful), though a few different things as I got lower (but movement was still slow and clunky, and/or out of sync, and/or not involving hips), through to the latest thing I’d hit on. First thing this morning I get an email back from him, with words like “excellent”, use of a couple of exclamation marks, and this most pleasing sentence: “Finally I feel you have put all of the functioning points of this stance together.“ I’m absolutely stoked.
Photographically, here’s a shot from the garden in-between virtually-attended conference sessions. I was playing with a jpg style, but preferred a number of the photos I took in RAW and developed myself. Including this one:

I also like this:
Arm spiral by -Occasionally Focused-
- but the bokeh balls and warmth of the twig won the day.
I like that both feature a spiral though. 8)
