Sheltering the young ones

The weather forecast was carefully scrutinised before Laura and I met up in Kensington Gardens this morning. 

Skylar the cockapoo (see extra) needed a good walk and we both needed a good hug after covid rules were relaxed (we both did lateral flow tests this morning).

I always bring seed and peas for the birds and was delighted to see so many cygnets and very friendly young Mandarins. This little drake (see extra) was really confident.

Having avoided the storms, I put Laura and Skylar in the car (with towels ready in case it rained) and took them back for lunch.

I didn't realise just how much mess I could make putting together a veggie pad Thai, but it was worth it.

A lovely catch-up all round and a little bit of 'normal' again :-)
