Stone mason at work
This is the way to remove decades of paint from walls built two hundred years ago: with a steamer blasting out water vapour at 150 degrees. As of this evening, about 50% of the work on our walls is complete. The stone mason's remaining jobs include finishing off the paint stripping, repointing, and a few masonry repairs. While the stone mason worked, I was contributing to day 1 of a 2-day online meeting.
At lunchtime today Mr hazelh collected Mummy hazelh from Waverley Station. She is staying with us for a few days, taking advantage of the relaxation of coronavirus restrictions.
The best news of the day was that the co-authored paper that I submitted on 23rd March has been accepted, subject to a couple of minor corrections.
Exercise today: none.
